Bandar Enstek – Bandar Enstek, TH Properties’ flagship development will have its own Islamic Centre (Pusat Islam) by 2013 and a mosque in 2015 to serve as a community hub for religious and cultural activities.
Pusat Islam @ enstek will form part of the Bandar Enstek mosque complex which will have capacity for a congregation of 1,000, a multi-purpose hall that can accommodate 440 people and house four classrooms catering for 200 students, a teacher’s room and lounge.
TH Properties is underwriting the cost of the RM3 million Pusat Islam and contributing RM1 million towards the infrastructure of the mosque as part of its corporate social responsibility initiative to the Bandar Enstek township which is expected to be home to some 150,000 residents when completed in 2025.
Speaking at the ground breaking ceremony of the Pusat Islam@enstek by Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department, YB Mej Jen (B) Dato’ Seri Haji Jamil Khir Baharom, TH Properties Group chairman Dato’ Azizan Abdul Rahman said since the launch of Bandar Enstek in 2000, more than 30 percent of the 5119 acre township which has a gross development value of RM9.2 billion had been completed.
Bandar Enstek, positioned as the first planned knowledge-based community offering a ‘new culture of living’ comprises residential, commercial, institutional and industrial components.
Dato’ Azizan said response to Bandar Enstek’s residential hub which accounts for 34 per cent or 1,747 acres of the entire development was strong and more than 2,500 units of mixed housing which yielded a development revenue of RM600 million had been completed.
The current housing phases being marketed comprise 124 units of ‘Rembulan’ semi-detached double-storey houses and 119 units of ‘Idalia’ double-storey houses priced from RM622,400 and RM283,900 respectively. Future development includes additional 350 units of bungalows, semi-detached and link houses at Timur@enstek.
A recreational park will also be unveiled soon to complement the amenities at the township while a primary and secondary school is on track for completion by 2013.
Dato‘ Azizan added that the 524 acre techpark@enstek, Malaysia’s largest cluster of local and international biotechnology companies was progressing smoothly while Bandar Enstek’s edupark@enstek was home to the prestigious Chempaka Ladies College, an all girls international boarding school, the national audit academy, Fire Services Department’s R&D Centre and would soon include UK’s Epsom College.
“We will continue to drive to add value to our investors at Bandar Enstek and ensure that our development is executed seamlessly while preserving the environment,” he added.
Besides officiating at the ground breaking, YB Mej Jen (B) Dato’ Seri Haji Jamil Khir also received keys to a multipurpose van donated by TH Properties for the use of Masjid Kariah Kampung LBJ, a neighbouring village. The majority of the residents of Kampung LBJ were the original land owners of Bandar Enstek land.
